The kids all came in from their host families with stories and photos of the foods they'd eaten and the places they were staying. They soon began rehearsing both on the stage and polishing up their routines and vocals within their own choirs. A rehearsal of the opening processional was held. After hot dogs for dinner the concert began at 8pm and the audience had been issued disposable rain sheets as it was beginning to drizzle! Choirs from Switzerland, the Phillipines, Taiwan, San Francisco, Australia and of course Korea performed along with us. They sang songs to represent their country and culture. Cantacella sang "I'm gonna sing" and "bluesy".
The end oif the concert saw everyone waving glow sticks and it was quite beautiful.
The children were collected by their home stay parents and staff returned to the hotel around 11pm.
End of day 1!
